I thought fracking was bad in that the chemicals they use to break up the ground leeches into the ground water plus it causes instability to the geological structures.
This. The short term economic benefit it provides in terms of energy and jobs is not worth the pollution and destruction it causes to the groundwater supply and land. But I guess it's mainly poor people's water that would get affected anyway. So screw it, let's just poison the poor f****s and give 'em jobs instead. Makes sense.
Agree. There seems to be a rather sizable, measurable uptick in the amount of earthquakes, in areas that don't normally have them, and they're usually centered around fracking areas.
well, that's good, but I don't really believe in "owning" threads. You can actually post anything you want in this thread, I don't own it.
So fracking is great, let's hear it. Hopefully they're fracking in and around your neighborhood soon.
Fracking's great .... If you are trying to beat Trump in key states. If you want to kill those jobs and lose those voters - by all means - have at it. But if you want to beat Trump - shut up and listen: Don't talk about banning fracking , just do it after you are elected.
God bless fracking God bless energy independence When renewable energy is ready to take over it will Renewable investment is doing quite well. More so in China but China still builds new coal plants. I look at natural gas as a realistic intermediate till we can get to mostly renewable https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bl...stment-is-set-to-hit-2-6-trillion-this-decade
So be two faced as usual so voters become disillusioned and don't vote for your party in the midterms and next general election.
