Two second round picks and two prospects and contract off our hands. A nice bet by Morey - minimizes impact but also doesn't leave our destiny in the hands of some other GM's mood after Howard commits. Considering teams KNOW we have to dump T-Rob, that's a very good deal.

I know it's already been posted whose rights we're getting, but I just wanted to update this list: Nicola's long been retired... dude's over 40! And he was drafted by the Rockets in '93 and traded to the Blazers as part of the Clyde deal btw... Kammerichs just retired this year.
Leaving aside the fact that this opens up cap space for a max offer, what do people feel about what we got in return here?

The greek kid is a decent player. Has a good body, is pretty athletic and can stroke the three. A typical morey player. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/d6kEgfd1hY4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Good if the picks are a little bit protected, amazing if there is very little or no protection on them.
Rockets trade Thomas Robinson to Blazers, clearing room for Dwight Howard Hours before meeting with Dwight Howard, the Houston Rockets reached an agreement to trade Thomas Robinson to the Portland Trail Blazers and clear the necessary space to offer the star free-agent center a max contract, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Rockets can now present Howard with a four-year, $88 million contract in a late-night Sunday meeting in Los Angeles. The Rockets are the frontrunners to sign Howard, and unloading Robinson's contract is the final hurdle to create the space necessary to make the move. Portland will send the Rockets the draft rights to Kostas Papanikolau and Marko Todorovic and two future second-round picks, league sources said. The deal can't become official until the NBA's moratorium on free-agency signings ends on July 10. Houston waived two veteran players – Carlos Delfino and Aaron Brooks – earlier on Sunday to clear cap space. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--rockets-trade-thomas-robinson-to-blazers--clearing-room-for-dwight-howard-003904920.html
