    Averages over 14 games:

    16.8 PTS
    .553 FG%
    .491 3FG% @ 2 3PM/game
    10.3 REB
    3.1 AST
    1.6 BLK
    2.4 TO

Without looking it up, can you name him? (even Raef Lafrentz and Robert Horry would be impressed by that stat line)

I'd say Terrence Jones, but I don't think he's played enough games yet.

Did not look it up today but that's close to Hawes' numbers. Hawes is the best shooting 5 man in the league. Even better shooter than Marc or Bosh.

    Yep, it's Spencer Hawes
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hawessp01.html

His start to the season has been all-star level with an interesting stat mix of high volume 3pt shooter, 3FG%, blocks, points, rebounds. All the comparable suspects (Bargnani, Anderson, Ilysova, Josh Smith) aren't close in overall production. He's continuously improved each year in the NBA and it will be interesting to see if he can sustain this level of play.

Before I even checked, I figured he must be in a contract year. Yep, he's a free agent next Summer. You always need to be wary of guys who turn it up a notch right before they get ready to sign a new deal.

Now that we know who it is, how much do you think he'll get on the open market? He's popular these days because of his shooting, but he is actually a solid C overall.

legit 7ft C, 25 yo, 6 yr NBA veteran (!!!) putting up uncharacteristic offensive numbers during a contract yr on a "bad" team?

I'm thinking 5yr $50mill S&T to Portland for Meyers Leonard (last guaranteed yr) and Mo Williams (expiring)

Portland gets a legit starting C that spaces the floor next to LMA, Philly gets an expiring and a 21 yo lottery pick in his last guaranteed yr to backup Nerlens.

That's not the only clutch shot he made this season. He has a big one against Chicago too and even in this game against Sixers, he had like two 3s in a row prior to that game tying dagger.

He has been a monster, clearly. Would fit it nicely alongside Howard...
