Rockets, Texans, and the Dynamo all lost and all the games were not even close. I don't know how we are going to recover from all this. I feel disappointed just like the rest of the Houstonians. Discuss.

I agree, wow, Houston got manhandled, wrecked, owned, pwned, demolished, slapped, knocked out, kicked in the nuts, everything tonight.

The Texans aren't good. The Rockets lost to one of the best teams in the league. I don't follow the Dynamo.

    Who cares, you're overreacting.

Not really, he's right. Texans, Rockets, and Dynamo didn't compete.

Bad day for Houston sports fans.

... the freaking Red Bulls?!?! Ugh!

Bad weekend for me sports wise (Baylor fan too). At least I was at the Dynamo game to miss the Texans game. Can't wait to forget these games.

    On to the next!

True...True. The only thing that'll make me feel better is waking up to the news that Jake Peavy is an Astro. GET IT DONE WADE!!!

The hours between 12:00 pm and 11:59 pm were just flat out awful and no Houston team was spared defeat

whether it was the Houston Texans beatdown by the Baltimore Ravens

    or

the crushing blow of the Houston Dynamo losing to the New York Red Bulls

    or

the Houston Aeros losing by allowing 2 late goals to lose to the Syracuse Crunch

    or

the Houston Rockets starting well but then being overwhelmed by the Los Angeles Lakers

November 9, 2008 is one of the worst days in Houston sports history :(

Eh, yeah it was a bad day.

    Could it be any worse?

Try cheering for any teams from Seattle.

    1) The Mariners finished last in the AL with a record of 61-101
    2) They lost their basketball team.
    3) The Seahawks are currently in last place with a record of 2-7

    Oh, and their college teams...

    1) Combined 1-18 record

Today sucked. I had to get to work at two in the morning today and skipped on sleep to watch these games. Boy was that stupid.

    Say what you will, but...

Texans are good at home and have a good offense.

Dynamo were favored to win it all.

Rockets are one of the few teams who can beat la.

All were destroyed. I wish I had gotten more rest.

Texans loss - What's the big deal? We lose all the time. Par for the course.

Rockets loss - We still have 75 regular season games left. I think we can still recover...

Dynamo - We have a soccer team?? When did this happen?? If this is true, then I still don't care.

Not even close to the most embarrassing sports day in Houston history. Not even CLOSE. Quit overreacting.

Why would any fan ever be embarrassed if the team(s) they root for get beat? The fans didn't play the game or draw up the game plan or make any decisions. If anything, fans should feel proud that they continue to support their teams through the lean times.

No kidding. 38-35 is the worst day. This one isn't even in the same hemisphere.

Bobrek, getting beat certainly isn't embarrasing. But playing like 6th graders on an NFL team is a tad bit embarrassing. We got to enjoy 16 games of mediocre NFL football last season. Beyond that, it's been over 20 years since good NFL football graced the best football city in the best football state in the union (sorry, Florida).

    And that just ain't right.

To be fair, Washington St. is on the other side of the state from Seattle. I'd say I wouldn't hold their terrible season against them, but that's where the 1 win comes from.

The Oilers blowing a 35-3 lead was WAY worse.

I guess it was a good day.

The same can't be said in Alabama, apparently...

I was going to post this...yesterday is no where near emotional than losing in the playoffs where the season ends.. I can live with just losing a game, but losing a season is worse.

You must have not been around for the Buffalo comeback. Or the Notre Dame, Joe Montana Cotton Bowl comeback on the UH Cougars.
