it's amazing how underrated russ is in this board. if we put him in golden state where he has proper help, he'd win a ship and prove all the doubters wrong.
Yeah. Westbrook doesn't get the "No talent" argument anymore. Hell, Kobe took a trash Laker team and almost got them past the Suns, 8th seed. Only reason they lost was because Kobe basically quit on his team game 7.
Kobe is the 2nd best shooting guard of all time(Jordan). He was a star player on 5 title teams in 7 appearances. There is a huge difference between Kobe and the Brick.
Very good point. Also true for Bobby Brown, KJ McDaniels, pretty much anyone! It really is a very solid argument.
I think Kobe is one of the most overrated players of all time. When he lost Shaq they were a perennial 8th seed doing nothing in the West. Then he lucked into Pau and they started winning again. Its kinda funny that Pau's memphis teams were always better than Kobe's Lakers teams yet, Kobe gets all the credit for winning.
People are starting to take notice of westbrooks bad habits. This is the type of stuff clutchfans said all last year https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.th...ssell-westbrook-oklahoma-city-thunder-problem
Ha, you got me all wrong. My quote was more of a knock on Kobe than praise for Westbrook. I hate both of them, and I think they are 2 of thje most overrated players of all time. You can't be one of the all time greats and not shoot close to 50% from the field.
Don't agree with this at all. The rise of the 3 point shot has changed the calculus. Guys take so many 3s now that it's MUCH more difficult to shoot 50% from the floor.
This very good article nails WB to the wall. https://www.theringer.com/nba/2017/...ssell-westbrook-oklahoma-city-thunder-problem If Billy D needs to be let go, it's because a monster was created last season by catering all things to make WB happy enough to re-sign. Now WB might not be salvageable because he's too large a figure on that team and is too selfish and uncoachable.
if he replaced Curry the KD will demand a trade shouldn't a team with Wb, PG, Melo, Adams (majority consider that as proper help) be at least as good as Blazers and the TWolves?
To be fair. Basketball junkies are typically a lot smarter about basketball than the Michelle Beadles of the world. Crazy how MLB voters get it right every time as compared the the NBA guys. Insane how uneducated opinions get to determine Harden's legacy.
Yes that is fine, you can take true shooting percentage if you want. Kobe and Westbrook are still not close, cuz they just chuck up low percentage two point shots.
I'm cool with that, and I'm cool with calling them overrated, just not the 50% from the floor requirement.
I dunno guys -- I saw that sequence just as Russ said: in and out (of his trigger-happy hands) twice.
