Let’s just say had that been any team other than the Warriors, it would have been a turnover. The easiest explanation is the right explanation 99% of the time.
No excuses. This is one of the worst missed calls you will ever see. And even that didn’t matter. James harden can Levitate.
I'd say I'm surprised.... but after all the calls the Warriors got in game 7, nothing surprises me anymore.
I think your first sentence is likely right, but that doesn’t mean it was an intentional whistle swallowing. I think the ref anticipated a save, because it’s the Warriors, and he allowed himself to be tricked into seeing what he anticipated in live play. I think it was probably an honest mistake, but one that warrants some sort of suspension.
You're saying he has the buttocks of an old man or that he's old in age? Same age as Drexler, Chuck and Hakeem basically, and MJ and Rodman
When I saw this missed call, I was like ......"wtf".......This reminded me of the 2005 playoffs. You guys rememebered Finley? His so-called "steal" from outside....I could not never ever forget this. Now 14 years has passed, and yet nothing changed . The refs still made those missed calls. But fortunately we have Harden to shoot that 3pt
This is worse than in 94 when the Rox played the Jazz and they delayed in starting the clock to give the Jazz extra time in the last 5 seconds of the game
Did the referee go into the game saying “I’m giving the benefit of the doubt to Golden State”... no.... but they were still inherently biased and influenced. We see it with race relations and many other areas of life.
Finley out of bounds, Malone bear hug and Jazz shot clock are all worse bc they were playoff games with much bigger stakes
We have the benefit of slow mo replay. Much harder to call that correctly in real time and when you are so close to action.
