I must have heard that at least 100 times this season about Gerald Green. I just have to laugh. I guess if you are not playing NBA basketball the only other possibility is that you must be sitting on your couch. Anyway I have grown to love this dude. The best way I can describe him is that feeling when you put on some old jeans and there's a $100 bill in the pocket.
Spoiler posted this thread last night and it seems to have been merged. The title and the post play in to each other. My confusion is this: we can have 100 Max Kellermam threads, but two Gerald Green threads is too much???
Yeah that expression always makes me laugh. Like there's no other possible thing he could be doing. He couldn't have been doing charity work or volunteer work or working out with other pro players. He had to be sitting on his couch. LOL
He's our version of JR Smith - irrational confidence guy who can get hot and swing a game in your favor...or get cold and swing a game in your opponents favor. Luckily we haven't seen too much of the latter.
I’m honestly confused why this guy wasn’t on a team after his successful Phoenix stint. I’m shocked because we have bums in the nba and green is knocking down threes and dunking. I just don’t understand how he wasn’t picked up, he evolved in Phoenix.
GG is not going to lose you a game, no matter how many times he launches. It's amazing the way MDA and the Rockets have built a solid system around ISO's and chucking. JR Smith could lose games because the systems he plays in aren't focused around shooting the 3. When GG shoots a crazy three, no one is asking him what the hell he was thinking.
GG doesn't really shoot crazy threes unless it's garbage time or the last resort, mainly because CP3 and Harden only give him open threes. Shot selection is easy when you don't have to worry about picking your shots.
I used to think GG's threes, when he comes off the pick, were crazy shots until I realized that's his shot. I'm still amazed those shots go in.
