Harden might not win anything and that is laughable. Too many fan base votes and not enough people with real basketball knowledge.
It's lame and the fan based voting is stupid, but to be fair: our MVP candidate could have been a little more prepared to answer softball questions from friggin Drake.

klay's 60 beating harden's 53/16/17 and westbrooks comeback 57/13/11 is pretty hilarious. apparently they wasted too much time getting assists and rebounds when they could have scored a couple extra points.
lets forget about that for a second. larrior fans are essentially saying that devins booker's 70pts is not better than 60pts bandwagon larriors stans be like 60>70 but who was maths?
They going to pick the 10th best record over 3rd because of 2 more rebounds and having the worst shooting in his career...Need to stop watching basketball for a couple of years...Getting really lame.
I be pissed too. I really do hope harden and his teammate next year show that he can get a better triple double as well if they help him get rebounds.
Yup. Harden and Rockets should destroy OKC next year with a 50/15/20 rebounds game. DO what OKC does with WB and let Harden get all the boards.
As a Rocket Fan, I am not mad at this. Klay's performance is arguably better. He played less than 30 minutes in that game and scored 60 pts. Not like Devin Booker who was force fed the ball every play in a losing effort. He easily could have had 80. And he only dribbled like 4 times. Doubt you will ever see that again. Not mention Harden and WEstbrooks triple doubles probably split votes.
The fact that he only dribbled 4 times cheapens it for me, actually. You have to be on a damn good team to even get the opportunity to do something like that. Heck, put JJ Redick in Klay's spot and he's probably winning some award tonight. Aaaand, I don't think many people would say Klay is a better shooter than his own teammate, Curry. This performance is similar to 13-in-35 seconds in that it was an epic flash-in-the-pan, but not something he'll ever repeat in his career. In my opinion, Klay is the most overrated player in the NBA in 2017. (Don't worry, Harden might make my top 25 most overrated players.)
Kylier Jenner & Nicki Minaj front row next year. I think it's better than seeing Rusty Hardin / Leslie Alexander & Exxon / Shell / BP / Chevron senior citizens.
hopefully harden will use this as motivation. he was definitely more deserving and you saw it on his face that he knew it. great night overall for the rockets recruiting efforts. MDA, ego, and harden all represented the organization well. they mentioned the owner, the city, the culture, etc... hopefully seeing all of our guys nominated and winning awards moves the needle for some star FAs. maybe they'll see the success players have here and might use that as a deciding factor.
