There are many ballers not in the NBA who are better players than guys in the NBA

As far as the USA goes, there are LESS better players not playing now than there used to be, so nothing to complain about.

Used to be, a team would draft some 18yr old that they never heard of, like Houston's Ndudi Ebi, give them a veteran's active roster spot (1 of only 12) and let them incubate for 4 years before cutting them.

Sometimes teams would even carry 2 projects.

The proof is in a 32 year old who was a known high percentage shooter scoring 19 points in 1 game that was meaningless for both teams and resulted in a loss, that only half the league is the best in the world?

There are definitely better shooters all over the world. But the NBA has THE most ath-a-letic players in the world from top to bottom. That's why most other players outside the NBA aren't considered top-tier or NBA ready.

Sometimes NBA players are short, and tall. The internet is fun!

To be fair of all basketball skills shooting is probably the most translatable between leagues. Give the guy credit for not letting the nerves disrupt that skill though.

I said 10+ years ago the top 25 guys in the NBA are more valuable to the league than the other guys put together. How many of these non-NBA "top ballers" would crack that group? For that matter, how many would be in the top 100?

Nobody thinks the top 450 basketball players globally are in the NBA. It's a worthless point to make. For many Euro players, the question becomes: Why be tertiary player in the NBA when you can be a star closer to home? To each his own.

Rafer Alston is a legend at Rucker Park, who for years churned blurry VHS mix tapes before he got a legit shot in the league. There's many players who have the athletic gifts but for whatever reason can't put in the time, effort, or discipline to live in the spotlight, the system and the lonely grind. Then there's the politics like how Rashad McCants is accusing Mcfail of blackballing him throughout the league.

How is this an i told you so thread for an otherwise great basketball story?

Propping up Ingram over a 1 game sample size which consists of a meaningless game at the end of the season? Lol, stop it.
