I been meaning to cancel my WWE subscription. Thank you WWE for giving me a reason tonight. What a godawful ending to survivor series. I got slightly hooked over the summer when I had nothing better to do, but thankfully Rockets are back to get me away from this crap. WWE use to be so much fun, what the heck happened!?!
Wow. It was a good match, and definitely Brock's best in a long time. But it is nowhere near close to MOTY for me. It's not even Style's best match this year.
**** was wack. You have two of the best wrestlers on that team and over as *** in Houston and you eliminate them like nothing. Triple H be trolling hard, LMAO.
There could be a Top 20 list of things with that match that were bad. I mean how shitty were KO and Sami made to look when they both ambushed a weary Shane McMahon and then Shane overcame both of them easily. What in the ****. Why.
It was a pretty strong card the whole way until the final match. It felt like there was a last minute change to how the match ended with how weird it all was. I expected a Jason Jordan run in after the way Angle was eliminated. I just don’t understand the point of that ending at all. Brock and AJ was damn excellent tho and they need to do it again
It was great that Nak and Roode got some offense in, but damn it was really deflating when they're out and you realize Randy, Cena and Shane are all that's left with like 20+ minutes left to go. Then seeing Shane try to go with Kurt just made me realize I'm watching two old guys in pain. But I was probably already grumpy that Sami and ko ambushed Shane, only to get the tables turned on them 15s later and it didn't even matter that they interfered. And they lazily went to the same finish they gave Houston raw last year. HHH did the same "you don't know who I'm turning on" angle that he pulled on Seth after the 4way and I felt so tired of it. And then Stephanie gets a full entrance at the end just to raise HHHs hand and escort him out. HHH hamming it up was funny, but effing McMahons, man.
My theory: originally, KO and Sami were to run out and cost the match for Smackdown. However after their reportedly selfish behavior that caused them to get sent home from the Euro tour, WWE decided to change the finish AND punish them by having them get easily disposed of by Shane. Perhaps they also played around with the idea of a Jason Jordan run-in but shied away from it because everything they've tried with him so far has failed hard. But... I shouldn't let that trainwreck match distract from what was otherwise a good PPV. Lesnar/Styles was great (Styles is great 100% of the time; Brock was the wild card here but he came through). Usos are great every time they're on a big stage. The women's SS match wasn't great but it served its purpose: to show us Asuka. Shield / New Day started off rocky but ended up being good. We all knew that Reigns was going to get the pin but at least he didn't take out all of New Day by himself. Women's title match was pretty good but I just prefer Charlotte as a heel. Bliss did her part well though, and Charlotte is GOAT of course. Corbin/Miz was the restroom break match as everyone thought it would be. Overall it was good. I just wish AJ/Brock would have been the final match.
It was a great show up to that point though. And it had the potential to have been the best show since mania xxx. Mania and SummerSlam and royal rumble have become too much about celebrity and and pomp and moments, I had the hope that SVS could have the star power of a big 4 show but still be more for the fans and the wrestling, and not be an ego stroke.
I definitely see how they wouldn't want to trust Jordan with the kind of heat that he would get from interfering in a main event match. And I definitely agree finishing with styles Lesnar should have been the way to go no matter who won. It'd still have been raw 4 sdl 3 and the crowd sounded so loud for that match.
I agree with absolutely everything here except that I thought the women's 5v5 was pretty damn good actually and it was of course miles better then the men's 5v5.
I thought was expecting Billie Kay and Peyton Royce to get call up to the main roster. Spoiler Surprised to see Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville joining Paige's faction
Idk man if you can't cheer for Roman as a member of the shield you just kinda seem like the guy that just wants to crap on everything. He might not be my favorite but he has proven himself to be a great performer. And when he's facing a guy like Miz if your booing Reigns your really just being a hater imo.
Was never really into this shield reunion so meh. You're right though that he can put on a good match, and from what I read it was a good match. So that's good. But I'm still not cheering for him. I thought booing Reigns was a thing now - we all know no one is booing him, but rather we're booing his booking. If disliking his booking makes me a hater then so be it. (Also, fwiw, I love The Miz. Yes it was about time for his title reign to end, but I'd rather see it on 15 other guys before I'd see it over Roman's shoulder.)
Houston gets the best **** when it comes to surprises. Man, ya'll saw Paige come out like a freaking badass. What a boss. Anyone else thinks Itami is debuting on Smackdown? Dammit, I might have to get tix for that.
I'll do a full recap of my weekend after SD tonight, I geeked the hell out for Mandy's debut, that chick is my #2 after Peyton Royce, she is smoking.... I did love Paige's return, had a HUGE pop and glad no smarks started any sex tape, Brad Maddox, Xavier Woods chants, although I did chant "TEXT ME PAIGE!!!!" I'm hoping Authors of Pain debut tonight, WWE's YouTube account posted a Top 10 Tag Team debuts last night, which might hint of their debut I'll guess Hideo Itami debut for 205 Live, one day I would love to have a KO, Finn, and Hideo Alliance since they all signed the same time Spoiler: 2 Sweet
Top 3 Survivor Series matches Lesnar/AJ Usos/Cesaro & Sheamus Women's 5x5 Elimination Tag TakeOver War Games Black/Velveteen Dream Ember Moon/Royce/Sane/Cross I dig the vicious new women's stable on RAW adds a lot more talent to a deep division. Mandy Rose is a total knockout. Paige looks great and Deville can probably out strike Asuka. Was bummed Evil Emma got released but getting three Evil Emma's makes up for it. No problem at all with any of Alexa, Sasha, Bayley, Asuka, Paige, Nia, Rose, Deville as champ. Dana and Mickie are solid workers and Alicia Fox you are the weakest link. Smackdown needs a Tag team so I expect Authors of Pain to join the division with the debut of Harper & Rowan version 3 joining the Usos/New Day/American Alpha II
