we don't accept poor immigrants from any country right now!!! you have to have education, money, special talent, etc.. and employer to be approved for work permit. poor people from any country don't usually have any of those things unless you are a professional athlete. other option if you are poor is work the fields or hit the green card lottery. not sure why we're pretending we don't already discriminate against folks trying to move here? non-working immigration itself discriminates against everyone from everywhere because of how shitty the process are system are. but again i've said there are shortcuts and ways to the front of the line if you "meet" those requirements and that in itself seems pretty damn discriminatory to me.

The Taliban admitted to having the power to turn over bin Laden but refused to do so unless we agreed for him to be handed to a third country that would never send him to us. Our offer was clear; hand over bin Laden, his associates and free all hostages being held by the terrorist network. The Taliban refused.
It's not having it both ways -- because calling someone's country a "shithole" isn't the same thing as saying it's dangerous for people to travel there. Some countries are in pretty bad shape for a variety of reasons, no one is denying that, but using a term like "shithole" to disparage not just the country but the people from that country who are trying to make a better life for themselves is simply unacceptable, particularly for our chief executive. He is an embarrassment not only to the people who voted for him and continue to defend him, but to the rest of us as well. I don't say he's an embarrassment to himself, however, because the man is utterly shameless.
