That was a great night of fights -- first card I bought in some time.

Yeah I agree, but one of those straight lefts could connect. Khabib was getting peppered by Michael Johnson so I could see Conor winning by KO. But I'd put my money on Khabib for sure.

If Khabib decides not to stand and bang for a great percentage of each round and instead consistently works in take downs, not sure if Conors TDD will be strong enough to withstand Khabib and the damage Khabib can do on top of Conor. If Khabib decides to stand and go toe to toe well I'm not sure that'd be a good plan vs Conor.

That ground and pound is vicious. I'm sure it's gonna be one of those striker vs grappler fights.

Yeah Conor needs to connect early if that happens he has a chance, but it Khabib takes him to the ground early it's over. Khabib is not Chad Mendez.

McGregor was preparing for Aldo, ended fighting Mendez. He was not prepared for that fight, didn't had the time to develope a proper gameplan against an elite wrestler like Mendez. That fight was a huge experience for him though, we've seen in posterior fights how he has improved his takedown defense from there.
Fights at 170 against Diaz (who was probably over 190 on the octagon) were a huge preparation too for Khabib's grappling and takedown defense.

Also, Khabib has demolished on the ground to low-medium profile fighters, but it is a different thing when you fight against top level fighters like Ferguson, Alvarez, Poirier, Diaz, Conor... big guys.

People talks about Khabib being a bad fit for Conor, but I see Conor as a nightmare matchup for Khabib. He has never fought against somebody with a similar skillset. On the other hand Conor has been fighting successfully against wrestlers the most of his career. We'll see...

They are setting Lewis up for failure, he said himself that his cardio isn't good enough to face DC right now and he has to be ready for this fight in 3 weeks? I get why he didn't turn it down, but they are wrong for this.

The timing really suck for Lewis. I really hope he can pull off the upset. DC is a great fighter but he really comes off as a chump. Not a champ.

If they didn't book this fight it would be one of the weakest cards in UFC history -- at MSG no less.

Nice KO and gracious win by Souza.

DC is on his own level and overwhelmingly outclassed Lewis.

    Stipe deserves a rematch

What is it with Asian fighters and bad timing? First Pacquiao and now Korean Zombie? You have 5 secs left, no need to charge like a runaway train. This fault lies on the trainers man. That elbow came from nowhere and then BOOM!!! NIGHT NIGHT.

People should know when they're old. Tito and Chuck 3 was a joke.
