Many people got mad when Teflon Don got on the team in the first place. And remained mad ever since.

Then the replacement of his supposed patron, The Diminutive Demagogue of Defense, by the supposed offensively oriented Monocled Man, was gonna cause him to lose minutes to an in-shape and motivated Bouncy Whale and get traded. It was the Bouncy Whale who got bounced.

The year after, the Crazy One arrived, and the Rockets supposedly didn't have room for two defensive wings. Again, it meant doom for the Teflon Don's Rockets career. The Wafer, I think was also alleged to be an adequate replacement.

The Crazy One's departure led to the arrival of Trevor the Neck on a 5 year contract, a 24-year-old ready to replace the Don.

But now, Trevor the Neck is heading to New Orleans. Teflone Don has outlasted yet another challenger.

Never underestimate the Teflon heart of the Teflon Don. He hangs with the President.

One day, he will be gone. And we will miss him.

Shane Battier is done, it's painful watching him age into the 9th guy off the bench. I'm tired of hearing about his high BBall IQ, BBall does require some athletic ability to actually score, rebound, and shoot. If he was so smart, his scoring would actually go up instead of down every year.

Why did we trade this scrub. Giving up 25 yr olds instead of 30 plus yr olds making the same coin is ridiculous.

yeah wayy too many people thought he'd be gone a year ago, then this past season and then he wouldnt make it past this summer, and so on. Not suprised he's still here, but it'll be interesting to see what happens after this year.

Yes we will... until then I will enjoy his witty responses to Houston media and cherish his love of an enormous scouting report.

this thread isn't complete until leebigez spews his usual haterade on battier and anyone backing him

    c'mon leeb, reveal thyself!

bonus hilarity if leeb's faithful sycophant the #1 failure from the 2001 draft makes his usual repeated sentences in this thread

I am pretty sure he is going to run for president when he retires.

On topic, I think he is still here because the teammates still need him to write speeches and blogs for them.
