The Rockets have a 75% win rate against teams above .500

    We are 27-9 this season against teams above .500



    Rockets and Warriors have the best record against teams above .500 by a significant margin. An insane 75% win rate against teams above .500 is nothing to scoff at, especially if you look at how well the Raptors and Celtics perform against +.500 teams.

    What about previous seasons for this team? Rockets were only 20-23 last season against teams above .500. The two seasons before that (WCF run) the Rockets were only 21-21.

    The biggest difference for the Rockets this season is we are beating up good teams consistently, sometimes with our offense and sometimes with our defense. The team is hitting every checklist so far to qualify as a "championship team", and there are certainly reasons to be optimistic with our odds against the Warriors.

    Record against good teams is always a better estimate of who the true cream is. While showing up consistently and taking care of business against bad teams is a very admirable quality, you don't play those teams come playoff time.

    It just confirms what we already know. There's us and GS, and then there's everybody else. Not that they can't play with us, we've seen the Celtics do it, just that they have to play at a very high level to do so, while our B game is usually still good enough to beat them.

    rockets probably have a 75% win rate against the remaining teams.. since our win rate is about 75% for the season

    but i have a 100% win rate against teams above .500 on 2k, with only 2 cheats active

    This shows that the Pelicans, Raptors, Celtics and Blazers are no slouches and OKC & Spurs not as good as advertised or one might think.

    why the blazers (under .500 against +.500 opposition) and not the thunder and wolves (over .500 against +.500 opposition)?

    Spurs are 23-6 against under .500 teams, but only 13-21 against .500 and above. That tells me that they're a well-coached, disciplined team that is lacking in top-level talent this year.

    So, how would you spin LAC, then. They are the same at 11-22 against .500 and above and 23-6 against under .500.

    That tells me they're a poorly coached, undisciplined team that is lacking in top-level talent this year. But then, I hate Doc Rivers. :)

    This is impressive. This will be key for the playoffs and also the fact that we have a couple of star players that are hungry to get rid of their negative playoff reputation.
