'Harden’s impact in D’Antoni’s system can’t be stressed enough, because it doesn’t work unless he works. The ripple effect is ridiculous. His command of the double team makes Houston’s dependence on the three-pointer understandable, considering Eric Gordon, Trevor Ariza and Ryan Anderson all get an enviable share of open looks. How effective would they be if they needed to create the majority of their shots? Perhaps not nearly as much. Their value is inflated by Harden, at least in this system.' interesting read @ https://sports.abs-cbn.com/nba/news/2018/03/06/rockets-remain-no-1-threat-warriors-goals-38553
If Kevin Love is the LeBron back up plan, I hope Morey has a back up plan to that back up plan. Love is fragile, mentally and physically.
“Things are obviously going pretty good,” D’Antoni said. “It helps that we’re in a race for the first seed. I think the guys enjoy coming into the locker room and playing. I don’t think we’re in a hurry for the season to get over with. It’s been a great season so far and they’ve enjoyed every day of it. I think the talk is, ‘boy, this is going by really fast.’ So if we can just make this last a little longer, it’ll be great.” MDA has read this thread confirmed
Harden may be a really good player till he is 35.. He takes good care of himself, doesnt have a game that makes him prone to injury.. doesn't have reckless blow-by speed that hurts the knees... doesnt play above the rim like westbrook... Developing a lethal 3 point jump shot and with his body streght if he is able to get a decent fade away jump shot he will be unstoppable at least for another 5-6 years..
A few questions to the public about really important stuff: Any of you guys go to the standings a few times a day just to see the Rockets at number 1 and feel good about your life? Or is it just me? Am I the only one who can't bare to listen to Nick Wright even though he repps the Rockets? What the hell is Harden wearing with his teletubbies red wetsuit, this thing should be outlawed. Any other important questions about life? I feel It Deserved Its Own Thread but afraid to be banned from clutchfans.
"He’s shooting 55% on his stepback 3-pointers over the rim-protectors he drags out to the perimeter, according to The Wall Street Journal’s analysis. The incomplete list of bigs who couldn’t stop his stepback 3-pointers this season includes Anthony Davis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, Marc Gasol, Al Horford, LaMarcus Aldridge, Myles Turner and Towns three times." nice piece from the Wall Street Journal on the most deadly shot in the league.
