"ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that Anthony is “expected to come off the bench.” Woj later clarifiedthat nothing was locked in heading into training camp."

Following that sentence is some haterade: "Still, coming off the worst season of his career, it’s likely Anthony won’t win a starting spot. Who wants to tell him?"

Sounds like a bunch of the soothsayers up in this place like zboy & co.

    More hate:

    Normal part:
Anthony’s dismissal came as no surprise; in preseason interviews last year, he essentially told Thunder media the same by laughing off the question completely.

Followed by a completely unnecessary note in parentheses:
(Melo’s fake laugh is about as bearable as his defense.)

In conclusion, TheRinger either hates Melo or hates Houston.

Jesus, writers who show outright hate towards a player shouldn't be allowed to write supposedly "unbiased" articles about them.

This thing was chock full of condescending bits. My favorite: "However, a particularly painful 3-point shootout in Game 7 of the West finals against Golden State might have convinced the Rockets that having another midrange threat tucked away is worth the risk."

So not only is Melo not a starter, now he's a midrange specialist who we'll have "tucked away" somewhere on our bench, just in case? He's supposed to be our 2-pointer Troy Daniels?

Wow. Wow, wow, wow. WOW. The Melo hate is f'real.

Yes! The thing about the fake laugh was totally uncalled for and is obviously just ONE person's opinion. Using that as an excuse to take yet ANOTHER dig at Melo's defense is inexcusable for a journalist.

Man, I've been playing NBA 2K18 for the first time in months and listening to podcasts about stuff like the schedule and how Ben Simmons is dating a Kardashian or something. I'm up for ANY Rockets related content at this point.

i'm happy we signed Melo for the minimum. i think he'll make a good offensive contribution to our team. But i don't think we are a better team right now than we were last year. I think we need another piece ...someone more defensive-oriented in the front court to balance out Melo's deficiencies there.

It's not up to Melo to decide.

MDA is already on record saying that Melo says he will do whatever they want. He just wants to win. Non-story. They will see what combinations work and go with it.

Judging by all the “he just wants to win” comments I’d say it’s a forgone conclusion that Melo will play what ever role he’s given on a nightly basis.

I doubt very much that Melo comes off the bench if CP and James aren’t in the line up for example.

So much microanalysis of overall meaningless things.

Screw them. If Melo signed with the Lakers they would make them championship favorites. I do like when the haters pile on and we shove it right back in their faces though.
