"One of the triumphs of James Harden is that his game has been fully vetted but never really solved. You don’t reach that level of production by exploiting a loophole or perpetuating some fraud. You do it by playing in a way that resists defensive scheming."

If you were Dantoni what would you do against the Bucks/Utah scheme? I know that defense can only be done because of their specific players, but it has been effective in slowing down our offense/Harden. What adjustments do you think we could make there agaisnt them?

We would of won last game if Harden was more aggressive with shot attempts. Harden has seen it all. When he retires, he will be the #1 offensive generator in the history of the game.

Nothing. Take the openings and role players have to make open shots.

If it were that simple, they wouldnt have beaten us three straight times, you know me bro. I love our guys, but I genuinely want to discuss this since the numbers are very clear that this slows our offense/Harden down.

any scheme MDA comes up with will require the WB and the rest of the role players stepping up and knocking down their shots

howbout more movement / picks for harden to get some daylight to launch a three or score or pass on a drive

if not he would pass out of the double team and the rest would have to coached to make a play and they would have to execute it and make their shots/layups

We took care of the Jazz.

Mil is a regular season tough matchup. In a playoff series, I personally wouldn't be worried.

Take the open lane and hit the open man. Gotta drain open threes and force them to change.

    (Above all else, defend better...)

“This season, Harden is getting more points per possession on isolation plays than any half-court offense has mustered overall, according to Synergy Sports. Achieving efficient offense in Houston is as simple as getting out of the way.”

“If teams had the means to limit Harden, they would. Instead, he takes more shots than any other player—more proof of his scoring prowess than it is the cause of it. Harden shoots as much as he does because he has the disposition for it, the endurance to manage it, and the organizational vision to support it.”

Check our offensive rating after game 2, their defense worked man. It was because they coulndt hit shots that we won.

I would, Giannis and the Bucks are a tough out.

    I mean ...yea I guesss.

    Damn @heypartner man...no response? D :

It was because we couldn't hit shots that they even had a chance, IMO.

He should be taking 30 shots a night.

I'd have to go back and look at the game but Harden looked out of sorts when that strategy was implemented and so was our offense. Its okay to admit it man,its not like our team cant make adjustments.

Against gimmicky defense, put Harden in the high post, see the double, easy assists. While it messes up the spacing and shrinks the floor, it also makes for easy plays to the bucket. It's my thought-experiment that we'll never see...
