You need three stars to compete for a championship.

    Finals:
    Cleveland- LeBron, Kyrie, Love (Lolol)
    GS- Curry, Green, Thompson

    Suspicions confirmed.

We definitely need another superstar and a borderline allstar on this squad to be legit.

That's why Morey gets paid the big bucks, but I am a visionary, I say if you really want to build a dynasty we need FOUR superstars. Hire me Les and I can attempt to bring my strategy to fruition.

This board is crazy full of Morey nut huggers. Confirmation bias at every turn to latch on to a random quote to prove he's the best...

This series PROVES that you need 3 stars? Like with absolutely no wiggle room? It's more concrete than relativity, which is a theory, this is now a law of the universe. 3 stars to win, you heard it from Morey first apparently?

This series proves Mauri is right, that 3s and layups are the only way to win the championship.

Am I doing it right? Lolololololol

Doesn't need to be superstars... but you do need 3 all-star players (or at least in the conversation for all-star), and 1 of those needs to be an MVP-caliber player.

The Rockets haven't even really had a 2nd all-star player. Dwight hasn't been an all-star for the past couple years.

So Harden is your MVP-caliber player, now we need 2 all-star players.

I love how people will argue this as though there is some actual objective definition for these words.

What I saw in game 7 was again how important DEFENSE is to winning a championship.

Warriors held to 89 points including only 13 in the 4th!

Star, all-star, superstar, not a star, potential star, rising star, falling star... Murphy says we need 3 and he's the Savior so let's roll on that.

Yup, and while some might say "But the Warriors only have one superstar player" I'd like to point out that their championship has an asterisk now that it is obvious the ONLY reason they won was due to never facing a team with all of their starters.

Gotta have 3 stars these days.

What we need is all-around talent. A team that has no to limited defensive liabilities, veterans that understand their role, superior talent and pride in our abilities.
