We still have Mchale's handpicked coaching staff and system. Our coach was mentored by Mchale so no Mchale is still not gone. He wont be until every one of his assistants are gone. Other than that you've done a good job of summing up our season which is something we all watched happened.. good job?
Worst case scenario - we stay with the same system, coaching staff and players as this year and go sub .500 but manage to eke into the playoffs as the 8th seed. We go on to get summarily trounced by the #1 seed, most likely either GS or SA. Rinse and repeat.
I just want to be clear that even though our average margin of defeat in this series was 24 points, and we lost 3 games with Curry sitting out, and Harden's teammates shot a collective 26% tonight, our victory in Game 3 defied Murphy's Law. So hold your heads high, right up until that 15th pick we lost to Denver turns out to be a league-shattering stud.
