So they're claiming Lonzo's camped leaked a knee injury to stop him from being traded, but I always wondered how this would be possible (similar to Tmac situation). If a player legitimately has an injury, wouldn't the other team have a right to know that? Wouldn't they have the ability to reject a trade if they don't like the physical report? Didn't that happen with someone, Josh Smith maybe, in Detroit? Do they Lakers have a right to be upset that a player leaked their injury if it is a legitimate injury? Otherwise it sounds like the Lakers are upset that they couldn't pull a fast one on the league.
It sounds like the Lakers have zero trust in the Ball camp because they made a move to thwart something the team might do, which means the water is so poisoned Lonzo is likely a goner. I hope he stays so we can watch a vicious, nasty-as-anything, season-long battle between him and Rondo. A motivated Rondo would win early on IMO if Lonzo isn't traded prior to the season.
I can see how it would tick the Lakers off, but wouldn't the other team find out the info about his knee before the trade was finalized anyways? And yah, I hope he stays too so that locker room implodes. Too bad Boogie didn't go there.
