In the 92-93 Rockets playoff series where the Rockets lost to Seattle in a close game 7, the Rockets came off the court with confidence that they needed as a unit. We all know what happened next year.

This year's squad finally made it to the second round and shocked the world for getting the series to 7 without 3 important players.

I believe this squad has gained confidence

    1. they could GET OUT of the first round (finally)
    2. they don't really need to rely on their superstar players all the time
    3. that they can push the #1 team in the west to brink
    4. confidence in their coach
    5. confidence in each other

Great season, next season will be even better!

I forgot confidence at the Toyota Center . We were fantastic at home.

No "depth" perception problems for our players.

    great season no doubt!

but if you look at the other side of lesson, we need scorer! even yao was in the lineup, scoring is still a major problem. Anyway, let's enjoy the great season.

I agree. This pressure breaks that rookie wall and gives young guys like AB, Lowry, Landry extra confidence.

I believe play harder is more important than confidence.

    This team plays the hardest.

    I don't know about that.

My experience is I don't play hard enough when I have too much confidence.

that makes no logical sense, if you are not confident you are going to make your shots or you are not confident in your teammates, you won't shoot or pass the ball.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confidence
Confidence is generally described as a state of being certain either that a hypothesis or prediction is correct or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective. Self-confidence is having confidence in oneself. Arrogance or hubris in this comparison, is having unmerited confidence--believing something or someone is capable or correct when they are not. Overconfidence or presumptuousness is excessive belief, in someone or something, succeeding, without any regard for failure. Scientifically, a situation can only be judged after the aim has been achieved or not. Confidence can be a self-fulfilling prophecy as those without it may fail or not try because they lack it and those with it may succeed because they have it rather than because of an innate ability.

If you are scared of Kobe, then you don't have confidence
