    [Pet Peeve Mode On]

Annoys me they’d have a graphic to illustrate Pace, but then don’t do Pace-based stats. Yeah, we are faster and WB is the reason, and it’s all a great key indicator to demonstrate, but use Pace Based stats, if you’re trying to show Pace stats.

    We’re 15th in APG per 100.
So, imma gonna assume their fastbreak ppg numbers have a closer gap, too.

I noticed Westbrook to be a much more intelligent player this year compared to years past.

A change of scenery can do wonders to a player's career.

The important of spacing. I guess when he doesn't have shooters around he might as well take it on himself to take it to the hole or take a bad shot. The on me mentality as oppose to kicking it to the corner or outside 3.

However, still not an excuse for MDA to constantly accept the beating download because he doesn't want to let Chandler more minutes.

Me too, man. Agree on all of this. On top of this, it also drives me crazy that people rank "pace". Pace should not be a ranking measurement. Like, why is it assumed to be better to have higher pace? Faster pace is not objectively better than slow pace. I think playing at a faster pace is actually causing a lot of our problems this year.

Russ has been amazing so far. As one of his detractors I feel bad for saying anything bad about him. Yes, I realize the sample size is small. Looking over at CP3 looking super washed in OKC (he's got a 1:1 AST/TO ratio), I couldn't be happier about the trade.

Actually, faster pace is objectively better when your team is more efficient than the other team.

It’s also better when you have higher variance (like when you take more 3 pointers), because your more likely to achieve a mean reverting sample size in one game.

It’s pretty safe to say that faster pace is better for a team like the Rockets.

Wasn't for the trade but given the small sample size, it was the right move to make. Hope Russ can keep playing well and Harden and EG can get hot. Still have some reservations over our size and usage of small ball lineup but we work with what we got on our roster I suppose.

That is only true under the assumption that your efficiency (both offensive and defensive) remain unchanged as your pace changes. I don't believe that assumption to be true.

Dont need stats to tell the obvious,
We are faster, less predictable and more dynamic at the guard position than I can remember.

In regards to small ball, I say embrace it
get clemons in the game when we play bottom dwellers like the wizards. Don't know what happened to McLemore, guess that's why he has been a bust.

Alot of upside here, especially considering we are 2-1 and have a 15 point lead in our sole loss.

If Westbrook is truly a transformed player and can maintain this, and our shooters start hitting shots, and Harden gets into his groove, we can be a very deadly team.

    Go Rockets!

Nothing over RWs entire career would lead you to believe that he would stop taking so many dumb shots and yet here we are.

Only been 3 games, but he has mostly cut out the crap shot selection that has killed his efficiency.

    Hope he keeps it up.

He's 1-9 on the cotton shot so far this season, too. Just imagine the efficiency if he wasn't taking those.
