Jimmy Butler is open to play with Lebron in L.A, but he also wants to play with Irving in NY...soon he'll be interested in play with Kawhi in L.A...or with Westbrook in OKC...
It doesn’t matter if he did. Some posters tried to run with the idea that it was a possibility he could end up here but there was actually a zero percent chance of that happening.
The real question is why would he NOT be open to it? Jimmy is a really good player, but he's not in the same tier as LeBron, Harden, Durant, even Westbrook, or Kyrie.....he needs help to win, and he should be looking to team up with whomever he can while he's still in his prime.
By most accounts, LA is a better place to live than H-Town. Also, very few players wouldn't want to play with LBJ. Thankfully, CP3 preferred to be here with Harden.
My guess is if they cannot max him (or at least come close), Jimmy Butler won't give a team the time of day. With Harden/CP3/Capela signed and sealed, 0% chance he plays for his hometown Tomball Rockets next year.
Be patient with this one. I understand the logic, but I'm hearing some crazy scenarios. James and Jim are great friends. Thibs has no power; It's a matter of both teams taking on some rough contracts.
LeGOAT should be thinking about doing better than Jimmy Butler as his 2nd in command...I like Jimmy, but he’s just not that dude
CP Harden Butler Tucker Capela ...with Gordon, Ennis, and Melton is a pretty good 8 man rotation against the Warriors. That starting 5 can lock it up defensively, and the guys coming off the bench are good defensively as well. That's a really solid lineup to match up against the Warriors.
Yep, assuming the Wolves are ready to let him go, Gordon would've to be in the package 100% (for salary matching but also cause he would be a great piece for Minnie to replace Butler) with Melton and/or 1st rounder and eventual fillers...it would be great if we would be able to somehow keep Melton (especially) or the pick in that scenario. Taking back Dieng for Anderson might be another asset for us actually, Anderson gets paied 4M more for these next two seasons, but Dieng has a third year left in his deal at 17M so, that's actually a way worse contract. I just doubt the Rockets can afford to take back Dieng since they're guaranteed to be in luxury, even in they can't be picky if they want another star.
LMAO. Queue the dozens of posters who'll now think we have more than a 1% chance of getting Jimmy B. Yes, Minnesota are frothing at a package of Ryno and Zhou.
