But the Rockets don't have Melo taking shots away from Harden.

Jeremy Lin didn't do this with the Rockets.

Harden's debut with the Rockets was BETTER than McGrady's debut with us!

Stop the hatin bud. Yes, we should take it one game at a time but this was about as good of a debut as you could have hoped for.

I'm keeping my optimisim for the season controlled, but you can't come away from that performance without raised expectations.

Doesn't mean we're planning the parade.

I agree with this. No way Harden should be playing 44 mins a game. He'll be done by mid-season if he does.

The glaring holes I see with this team:

    1. Backup PG. Douglas can't run the offense and plays no D.
    2. Backup SG. Cook is horrible. Need a consistent scorer.
    3. PF position was dominated by the Pistons bigs. Rebounding was horrible by Morris.
    4. Asik wasn't as dominate on defense as I thought he would be. His offense was fine.
    5. Parsons looked off all game. It was like he was trying to score on his own. He's better when someone sets him up.

Man you annoy. Thanks for clearing that up captain obvious. Every one of your posts just bring down any good feelings I have. Such a contrarian. I made the mistake of not blocking you, but it's been done now.

Back to the topic, this was an epic introduction to the season. Harden made those crazy stats look easy and effortless. Release the horses!

I don't think people realize just how good Harden has been in his career, due to his 6th man role and lack of minutes. Even if you just extrapolate his CAREER(including rookie year) average to 44 mpg, you get 20.9ppg/5.6rpg/4.1apg. His career TS% of .605 is ridiculous. By comparison, T-Mac's best shooting year, his first Orlando beast season, had a TS% of .56.

Coupled with the fact that generally players improve with more playing time(assuming they deserve it), and this is hardly a surprise. Harden SHOULD be very good.

When Jeremy Lin drops 38 as a Rocket, then we'll give him his props.

There's no need to give someone something they haven't earned yet.

Today, James Harden has earned the praise of Rockets fans.

I meant he'll get his HUGE PROPS like Harden is getting now.
Lin gets good game props, but he doesn't get HUGE PROPS... yet
