Can anyone explain why the injury timelines are always so off? By off, I mean way off. Not even on the same planet. What is the reason for this intentional lying or incompetence? This is a serious question and I think Morey needs to publicly address this.

Has nothing to do with it. How does day to day become weeks for Gordon. Paul has been out almost a month. There was some article saying he was supposed to be re-evaluated two weeks after the initial injury but that never happened because conflict of schedules. WTF does that even mean?!?

Harden beat his hammie timeline last January by a good week or two.

Are you talking about Paul. "He's out and will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks" isn't a time line for returning. It's a timeline for being re-evaluated. Seems on schedule to me.

D-Mo has bad back from sleeping wrong. He's day-to-day, should be fine & ready for the next game.

    It’s been nearly 4 weeks and hasn’t be re-evaluated.

If it were the playoffs he would be out there. Just being extra cautious, plus coach wants to see the young guys get some minutes.

This says he was re-evaluated. Of course, he was re-evaluated. Seems on schedule to me. They also got his early season injury correct.

Paul has been out with a hamstring injury since suffering the ailment versus the Miami Heat on December 20. It had initially been stated that he would be re-evaluated a couple of weeks after the injury. In the re-evaluation, it appears Paul's injury was a little bit worse than expected, meaning that by the time he returns, it will have been over a month since he last played in a game.

My bad. Our med staff is awesome. We always get injury timelines correct. It’s been our history dating back years. Delete this thread.

Whatever you're trying to get out of this thread, the Paul injury is not an example of it. That should be good news for you, right?

To make you feel better, listen to @The Cat podcast for his assessment watching Paul in practice.

I know it’s annoying but it’s simple. They give the most optimistic timelines to play coy with opposing teams.

I hate it and I don’t think it really helps but anything for the smallest edge.

Why is everyone ignoring the part of my original post about Gordon? Day to day?

You never know how fast someone will heal. You can guess, but it's only a guess. It's not intentional lying or incompetence.

It is starting to feel a little Yao and Tmacish around here.

When do we start every thread with "When healthy,..."?
