Well, there was a bit of a buzz regarding Jeff Luhnow's Twitter avatar, since changed.

What do the stars mean? I know that the big blue circles signify that they're college seniors. TCB sheds more light on the board; names in red are high school players, black are college guys, and green are JUCO guys. But what of the stars?

Mr. Luhnow will have the answers when he talks with Brian Kenny on NBC Sports Radio at 10:30.

Ended up with 1/2 on their 2012 board in the process (making assumption that Buxton was not above either).

    There may be hope.

Draft magnets for everyone they've scouted so Mike Elias can make a decision. Try to cram as much info as possible into those magnets.

    The stars = "gut-feel" stars

The area scouts single out players who they believe will exceed expectations, and they put a star next to that player's name.

Wish Appel had stars. It would be very nice if he exceeded expectations.
