Here's the thread, not to beat the dead horse (we all know he sucked and needed to go), but to put down the one good thing you can say about David and wish him well.

Any good memories of David Carr? :D

I remember the game against J-ville when Dom decided to go for 2 and the win instead of the extra point for OT. They ran a QB sneak and Carr just put the ball over the goal line. Game over.

Of course, there was 19-10. His first TD pass to Billy Miller. Man, the future looked so bright at that point, didn't it?

Carr came on 610 every Monday morning whether they won or (more often) they lost. He NEVER backed away from doing that, even though the whole city had turned on him.

From a person who never was a fan, didn't want to see him drafted, it was extremely impressive that he never b****ed about the sacks and he got up everytime.

he was like dwayne wade, fall down 7 times, get up eight,

    I still don't get that

    Thanks for beating Dallas.
Thanks for not throwing your OL under the bus even though they deserved it.
You seem like a good Christian family man.
You showed flashes of getting it together....that one first half against the Rams...a game against the Chiefs..every once in a while a sign of life.

Maybe a change of scenery will do us both good.

I bet he is gonna look like a much better qb after he get's a good o-line. his efficiency was pretty good for the crap we had protecting him.

Was Carr ever injured? With all the times he got hit you would think he would have missed more games.

Sometimes things just don't work out....... change is good, and I think this split will be good for both of us. Life is crazy, and maybe with a better o-line and a change of scenery you can start a new life and be happy. We will always have 19-10.

19-10 and the dive to win the J'vill game are really it. There were flashes of what he could be here and there. I don't entirely blame him. He should get a public apology from Bob McNair for Casserly, Capers, the rest of the coaching staff, Corey Bradford, Jabar Gaffney, and the O-line.

That said, I'm not sad he's out. I've said it time and time again. It's time to get rid of the aura of losing. Right or wrong, that aura has David Carr's face all over it.

Good luck where ever you end up, DC.

I expect you to do much better on another team. Hard to feel sorry for you since you are rich and good looking, but I wish you well. You will be "safer" on another team. Every league has to have a team that is "r****ded," unfortunely, we got it.
