And it was probably SHS who leaked that.

The only person to blame for creating that toxic atmosphere of backstabbing is Trump himself.

it was just another convenient lie by SHS.

It was a Joint meeting, on messaging relating to the CIA Director nomination, between The comm staffs from the WH & Congress,

not an internal meeting as falsely claimed by SHS
The Congressional comm staff from Capitol Hill was aghast / repulsed by the disgusting remark; most probably
they later related that to their co-workers on the hill. in the process, the info got disseminated to the media

Oh sure, it wasn't the inhumanly offensive thing said in the meeting (that SHS probably agreed with, if not laughed at, as she can't criticize or apologize for it), but the fact the inhumanly offensive thing got out to the public and provided another stain on trump and his administration.

But hey, anything to cover up and extend a specious trump speaking point I guess...

There seems to be no limit to the depths this White House will sink to, inspired by The Liar in Chief, trump.

That's what the working ladies wondered about that one night in Moscow.

And that's why I expect a better thread title from you here. Did you consider: "Trump white house takes a leak, seriously" a la Invisible Fan? Or "Trump white house seriously takes a leak" ?

Also I know is that they are more upset with a staffer taking a leak than they are with a staffer insulting a great American Hero

    Kudos to @Invisible Fan.

(and the quest to find any humor at all attached to Mr. trump and his crew psychopathically corrupt liars continues)

The only leak Trump takes seriously is from a paid golden haired Russian.

Cable news is making entirely too much of this insult paid to McCain. It was rude, sure, but I think today is the 3rd business day I've seen cable tv harping on it.

Strongly disagree. Cable news is not making too much of this. Whoever said this, while an American hero is lying in his death bed, needs to be given some battle rattle and sent to Afghanistan to gain some real life experiences and to expand their perspective.

If the person who said it lost their job, then it would probably have died away much sooner. But if they aren't held accountable for the actions and it looks like the administration supports that kind of rhetoric then the story becomes a bigger one.

Heck, if the WH would have issued a public apology soon after then this would have gone away. Instead, they waited, denied, then tried to re-spin it into a "leaks" pitch to their base.

Supposedly the staffer that said it did eventually call Meghan McCain and apologized but by then time had passed and McCain supposedly wanted a public apology (which she was told would come... and never did).

    So the story continues...

Its a pretty crappy job where if you make your point inelegantly in private, you can be fired. Honestly, I'd be pretty disappointed if the Admin censured an employee for giving her perspective. It would probably be appropriate for her to apologize to McCain if she wanted (which she allegedly did in private), but the call for public prostration is not.

If the business is about public relations(which it is), then it makes some sense.
