I posted quotes from the CEOs of Texas Childrens, St Luke's, Methodist, and Memorial Hermann. I posted widely accepted state data regarding COVID deaths. I posted a graph, depicting implied cases using a consistent IFR over time plotted against COVID deaths. The data sources I used to make my point are as good as it gets. Some people didn't like the answer, so here come the insults and calls for cancellation (weak). Other people used anecdotes and politically-driven soundbites they heard on cable news. I did not. Again, I used data and experts' (not 25 year old students) input. All I'm trying to do is inject some optimism and ratchet down the unwarranted, over-hyped fear level. Hard data, great sources, rational thought. Asking the right questions. That's what separates people who make good decisions versus those who make bad decisions. And at the end of the day, I want to see the Rockets play this season. Irrational, unsubstantiated fear may stop that from happening.
