These gents are doing their jobs. They suppose to hype this team up. I'm pretty pumped for the season but they have to prove themselves first before I start believing all the hype.
Love how he catches with his hands. If he can use his body to block out and he is just a decent blocker, he can be really useful for the offense. If he gets a dB on him, he should win everytime.
Is kevin johnson's agent paying these beat reporters? Dude is getting hyped up like no other. I'll believe it when he does something when the games are televised.
One publication rated the Texans 31st out of 32 teams in talent and USA Today predicted then to go 10-6 which means they will probably be around their usual 7-9 wins.
CBS 9-7 S.I. 10-6 USA Today 11-5 Bleacher Report 7-9 Atlon - No Record but have the Texans 3rd in AFC South ESPN 11-5 No one things they will be bad, but its still kind of surprising to see the predictions so high based on last years implosion and question marks with key players coming back from injury. I have said all along that keeping Watson healthy and the secondary has to be better will be the keys to the season. I am also curious to see if teams defend the Texans offense differently now that they have tape on Watson.
It will be a completely new offense this season. BOB did a great job adjusting the offense to Watson’s skill set during the season, but with a full offseason, BOB has/had made it known that he will be coming up with a new offense for Watson and Co. They’ll obviously be working on it during training camp but I doubt they’ll show their hand much (if at all) during preseason games. I’m excited to see what it looks like at New England Week 1.
I doubt it’s completely new. Why would they throw away the money plays that Watson had high confidence in? Either way, my expectation is that they continue (as they did before Watson got hurt) to implement a dynamic game plan offense, just like the patriots do where they work new plays in every week, predicated on beating that weeks opponent’s weakness. OB has always boasted about it, but it really requires a capable QB to actually work.
Kevin Johnson refuses to backdown to any challenge. I'm assuming that means the chalkline hasn't challenged his ankle yet.
Let me get this straight. According to USA Today, we are 31 out of 32, the 2nd WORST team in regards to talent, and we beat 10 other teams? Makes sense.
Well... in a world where one position can be so important, it does kind of make sense. I'm not saying they're right on either the talent or record prediction, just that its not completely illogical.
No I believe pff was the one who said 31 They also predicted 7.3 wins and last in the division https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-pff-forecast-afc-south-preview-projections-winloss-totals
