As bad as we all know it is, you know some dont learn. The very first time Hop drops a pass, someone will be in this thread to tell us how great of a GM Bill is.
Sounds like BoB didn't consult his QB, and life ring, before he made the trade. Think other teams would have dared piss off their franchise QB by dumping his #1 target and not asking him about it beforehand? I will roar with laughter if Watson ends up testing the FA market. What a disaster.
Take off the homer glasses. Diggs is not the WR Hopkins is, However, he can just as productive. I don't care either way. Hopkins is gone. Nothing I can do about it. I don't like the trade, but it is what it is. Whining won't change anything. BoB is not going to be fired....(unfortunately), so move on or find another team. I'm indifferent.
I got your back JR! Who does this dude think he is. This is the internet I'm sure this has already been pointed out, but this dude is BoB's sock.
Na, dude. I just don't cry about what I can't control. Cal McNair gave him the control, Cal McNair approve this trade. No way I would have done it....without ATLEAST a #1. But hey, it is what it is.....
I might've misspoken in my last post. This dude might actually be Trump. He will say the opposite of everything no matter what. You'll say fire is hot. And he'll say not if you're on the sun.
Bill O’Brien has the power to pretty much do what he wants in this organization," Peter King told @TikiAndTierney. "That’s not going away any time soon." #Texanshttps://t.co/dmzizgnzxp — CBS Sports Radio (@CBSSportsRadio) March 17, 2020
He's likely not BoB's sock, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he were a Texans employee. The trade is abysmal. BoB is incompetent as a general manager. I would be a terrible GM, and I literally would be a better GM than BoB. So would several of the posters here. We'd at least devote our full attention to the job. BoB's not getting fired with this hands off mediocrity who owns the team, so Texans fans are just going to have to take it. Or be fans of something else. This virus shutting down everything is giving me, at least, some valuable perspective on where my time, attention, and money will go in the future.
LOL. And where do I say I like the trade? NO Where. Here is the difference: I've seen Houston teams do dumb things for 40+ years. I don't get hot over those things any more. More important things in life. If Cal McNair is letting BoB do those dumb things, it is Cal McNair that has to deal with it. Nothing I or you can really do. Not root for the team is our only real option.
This actually makes sense. Not fully; but there's some basic common sense rationale here. And, again, given the Texans looming salary situation (where they almost certainly valued Watson + Tunsil over Hopkins, which... fairly justifiable, I think) and their draft capital, exploring a deal for Hopkins is justifiable. BUT! To trade him for pennies on the dollar is just malpractice and should be a fireable offense.
