Interesting story. Didn't play college football, played hoops for 5 years overseas then spent a year with Seattle/Arizona practice squads in 2013. His brother played 7 years in the league, also at TE. He is a huge TE.
Unless some superstar tight end falls I'd say unlikely, though it was probably unlikely to begin with. So many other holes.
He is a large human being. I liked him when he was a Cardinal. I'm not sure there is anything left in the tank at 33. Hopefuly this means they won't be using the three tackle sets.
It's so annoying how the team used Ryan Griffin (I'm sure they had their reasons) but he would have almost no targets in a game and then go for 80 yards in a game where WRs get injured. The guy can play, they just gotta throw to him
I feel like every time I saw Ryan Griffin play he was dropping a catch. Little surprised they aren't just completely moving on from him; the rookie TEs showed a lot of promise.
