I thought they would be higher given that they sold out all their games even when not making the playoffs for 9 years.

Green Bay has sold out every game since 1960. The estimated wait time if you get on the season ticket wait list is 30 years. And they're 2 spots ahead of us at 14. Ridiculous.

The people who made this list came up with a set of criteria in an attempt to quantify fan loyalty. But at face value, it seems way out of whack.

Carolina, The Titans and San Diego have better fan bases? SD can't even sell out their games and have threatened to move. List is bull****.

How Jacksonville isn't dead last is a mystery.

This is a strange, strange list. At least in the article they question the results.

there are still butthurt, no offense, fans over the oilers that swear they will never support the Texans. so 16th seems about right. then you have other fans who are fans until they start slipping.
it's fun being there for the bad and good.

Does loyalty in any way relate to overall fan delusion? Because every season cowboys fans always think they have a shot at the super bowl, and Jerry doesn't deserve that "loyalty" year in year out for what he puts out there.

Yeah, this list is bizarre. The Raiders are last?

It's almost as if they just randomly ranked teams based on no criteria at all.

Thought this was interesting, had nowhere else to put it and didn't want to start a new thread.

Had the Vikings not drafted you in 2007, which team would you have preferred to go to?

Yeah, something is off with whatever equation they used to gauge "loyal fan bases".

I mean the Chargers' fanbase above the Packers, Redskins, Texans and Broncos? I suspect what is throwing this list and their equations off is some sort of economical factor because I can't think how the Chargers would be that high above superior teams.

Heck the Jags have trouble selling out their home games and yet they are rated above the Lions fan base? Something ain't right with however this list was constructed from a logic stand point.

    The methodology makes no sense.

Income is a pointless argument because football's on TV for free, and because ticket prices are based on market size. And even pointing out "tickets sold" shows how little they know about the NFL, given how it's generally sold out at all but the crappiest places.

To me, loyalty calculation should be based on how things how fans react when things don't go well. For example, if a Contending Packers vs. Cowboys is a 40 rating, and 2-7 Packers vs. a 1-8 Jacksonville team is still 35 rating. Then that represent a 5 rating dip from best case to worst case. Compare that to other teams and see how far their ratings dip when the team is sucking. And perhaps you can do this for how full arenas are(as opposed to tickets sold which is mostly pointless).

Alphabetical order would be more accurate.

I wonder if anyone old enough can still visualize just how much Patriots, Colts, Jets and Saints used to suck. Like it was almost inevitable regardless of how many top picks they got for years in a row.

Emory University studies have shown USA Today ranks 16th out of 32 in a poll of useful birdcage liners.
