This is a few days old but University of Miami (FL) play-by-play man Marc Vandermeer will be the first play-by-play voice for the Texans. He did all of the Miami mens sports on SportsRadio WQAM in Miami. He'll also presumably be doing the Rome sandwich shifts of 10-11 & 2-3 on 610.

I was just looking that up. I heard that someone got the job but didn't know who. How is he?

I heard someone ask on one of the shows today who the color person would be but they haven't made that decision yet.

I haven't heard him, but he will do the remaining Miami basketball games, so I guess you can get a sneak peak on Broadcast.com.

Personally, I am hoping Bum and Giff get back in the booth, but I seriously doubt KILT will go that route.

Now that this guy has had some exposure in this market (he was on the morning show yesterday and today, and co-hosted the "Expansion Draft Special" with Rich and Charlie), any thoughts?

He said he will be finishing basketball in Miami, so whatever regular role he takes at 610 is still a couple of months off.

    I betcha it's the radio !:)

At least I hope so, he has redefined the phrase...

    " beating a dead horse " IMHO .

I think Matt and Jeremy should be reunited, either in Rome's spot if he quits or after Rich and Charlie. I thought they complemented each other well and really were knowledgeable about sports, add that to the occasional funny jokes and judging of hot girls.
