I'd doubt decloud sees the field at all, most likely a year 2-3 cut. He can't play m2m, and unless major injuries there's no room at corner. Camp body. Watkins however, he'll find rotational minutes at end and tackle.

The speed issue is pretty common for bigger taller DB's.

Boyue, for instance ran 4.55 @ South Florida''s pro day, and school 40 times are always faster than combine 40's.

If you look at teams loaded down with big cover 2 guys, there will usually be 1 really fast guy, and most of the DB's will have recorded 4.5 - 4.75 out of college.

    The 4.3-4.4 guys are usually 5'11" 185.

They wouldn't waste the 169th pick on a camp body. They clearly have plans for him and best case he's a ST contributor, worst case I say is practice squad so he can get coached up.

Watkins and Reader could be a nice duo on the cheap for years to come.

    More like Day-coo.
Also having Watkins reunite with his college teammate and fellow lineman Reader is going to be outstanding.

Loved Watkins, hated Decoud. I feel like we've picked a lot of busts in the fifth round. Like Keith Mumphery...that pick just looked dumb at the time since he probably would have been undrafted. Usually it's not a good sign when all the websites I've seen show Decoud to be a 7th round-undrafted prospect that we took in the fifth. But we'll see.

Though I probably would have taken Jake Butt over Watkins as an upside pick that late in the draft, I'm good with what we did.

I think Mumphrey has panned out well for a late round pick.
