Nobody's buying the BS about Rick Smith,

Nobody wants to walk into a job that will be compromised by a teflon-coated third party coming back into the building,

Nobody wants to have to deal with Uncle Rick.

Nice job, McNairs... you're becoming = to Bud Adams.

Wow....I could tweet the exact same thing if I were to remove the references to Dallas.

Want nothing to do with the Patriots front office. No can do or come close to whatever it is that makes that franchise so successful unless it is the Hoodie coming to Houston

    I disagree.

We've got a full scouting staff and can add enough of a coaching staff to get us properly through running Senior Bowl practices/game. All we really need is DBs coach, we can borrow one if needed.

It's always been idiotic to me for teams to rush to hire coaches and front office staff from teams that don't go deep into the playoffs,

Instead of waiting and hiring from the best -- the Super Bowl teams.

Agreed about this part, but they seem hell bent on bringing back BOB anyway.

One of Rick Smith's right hand man - Brian Gaine or Jimmy Raye - will soon be GM, almost like Rick Smith never left! In a year(or so), Rick will be back, almost like he never left! ;)

    Stephen Jones:

    Will McClay?

Hate to get out ahead ... He's done a great job for us here. We think the world of him. Works well with myself & Jerry, fine leader in the scouting department, & great relationship with the coaches. Assume he'll be here until I hear something different. All indications is he wants to remain here with the Cowboys. All indications are is he'll be here.

No way Jerry lets any of his guys go to Houston. He just stacked a bunch of $$$ in front of McClay to prevent the interview. Still hasn't gotten over it that Houston made him cry real tears in 2002, lol.

Lol, exactly what I was thinking.

If people are constantly b****ing (at least on this board) about Rick's resume as the Texans GM, you can't possibly be excited about one of his "proteges" taking over, can you?

    I knew it.

Romeo Crennel is a fake person, he is just Wade Philips who got some sun burn after playing golf with Kubiak.

If McNair never saw a problem with Smith then it makes sense that he would make an incestuous hire.

Uncle Bob replaced Rick Smith with the white Rick Smith. This is like Get Out except Uncle Bob transplanted Rick smith into a white man's body.
