How much do you have to suck as a receiver to get from a team that has no healthy receivers?

Has talent but could never put it together here. That being said this doesn't make a lot of sense due to the lack of depth at the WR position. I have a few ideas...

This probably means Will Fuller comes back sooner than later.
They must feel more comfortable with Braxton than we do(I've been disappointed in him)
Tyler Ervin gets more WR time(he looks very good as a slot receiver)
They think Andy Jones can contribute quickly
    TEs becoming healthy

On another note Rick Smith has been amazing with 1st round picks, but complete garbage on 3rd round picks, it's puzzling

    One hopes XSF is next.

Just to send a message that this level of play is not acceptable.

Just bring back Andre Johnson and make him a WR/TE for a few games.

He doesn't know how to run routes and he can't beat press coverage at the line of scrimmage. Basically a non-factor.

Still have to hope he can get better. He's a hard worker with good practice habits, he just started from scratch basically. So far though teams just press on him at the line and he can't shake it. It would be helpful of course if the plays had longer to develop, but it is what it is.

I don't think his route running is an issue. When he's not pressed he's able to run his progressions. The issue is the press coverage part. At this point he hasn't shown any ability to beat press coverage and teams are just pressing him out of the game.

He's too tall for a WR. Watson likes throwing at the knees.

From the Hard Knocks clips, O'Brien had doubts about Strong and I guess never shook the underperfomer label. I haven't read what the coaches/ O'Brien think of BMiller but wonder if he's going down that road.

I am not familiar with how the cap works in football but I was under the impression that if we cut Cushing we get no cap relief

Maybe dude walked up to management and said "throw to me or cut me". That's the best I can think of. I mean as of a week ago, they activated him and acted like they had plans to use him. Either he was mad at 0 targets on thursday or had some altercation with the coaching staff. That's my guess.

XSF, Strong, Nix, and Montgomery picks set our franchise back.

No. Letting Brooks, Jones, and Boyue go set our franchise back.

Drafting guys and missing is quite common and it happens at a high rate.

    Rick.

    Stop.

You've already ensured the team won't have any success this season with your offensive line. No need to pile on by cutting more players. O'Brien has no intention of staying in Houston with you and Bob making football decisions.

It's done. Bouye's gone. Our 2018 draft is gone.

You got your QB. Why in hell you want to get him killed, take weapons away from him is beyond reason?
