I have never seen such a quick dropoff in expectations.. Lost to Jags, 26 injuries and concussions, a suspension... goodness lets just move to next season

It's a dilemma for me. Normally, when there's little to no hope for a season, I'm more inclined to skip games. But I do enjoy football.

So,I suppose the thing to do is watch as more of a curious observer vs. a dedicated fan. Nearly impossible to do, but maybe I'll try a bit to be less emotional over the Texans. When they get to the point where they are at least in the discussion of a playoff run, I'll go back to fanaticism.

Texans get a late goal and win a riveting bore fest.

    Texans 5
    Bengals 3

I'll watch because I'll watch my team...but I won't hesitate to do other things with my Sunday afternoons should the opportunity arise. This is shaping up to be another 2-14 type season...and it won't even f***ing matter because we won't have the pick to go with it.

Next season they will be starting over AGAIN. New head coach and quite possibly a new GM to boot. Won't matter at all because it'll be year one of (yet) another rebuilding process. With the Texans, the more things change, the more they remain the same.

At a time of adversity, who will shine?

This separates the men from the boys. From those who can put team first over their own agenda.

We gotta have leaders on the team. Who will they be?

Bold prediction: Evan Bayliss will lead the team in receiving. His chemistry with Watson is undeniable.

    Texans 17
    Bengals 13

Yeah, it was so shockingly awful the way he hit his receiver in the hands with the ball....

Honest both are probably better than Ryan Griffin and Stephen Anderson so this might cost one of them a job permanently with this team.
