Yeah I really only question not taking the 3 points late in the 3rd quarter after Martin gave us a free redzone trip. Other then that offensively, the play calling was solid just the execution sucked, either Hoyer was late on throws on receivers were dropping balls. Sadly, I think if Fitzy had another off season in the offense we could have a couple of more wins at this point.
Yes, exactly my thoughts. I was really confused about the decision to go for it. It was 20-6, right? The game was still young, they had not been super exciting on that particular series, it seemed you take the 3. But otherwise, plenty of open receivers. And even saw open holes in the line. Keep in mind the RBs aren't great either. Regarding Fitz, I don't necessarily fault the decision to go a different direction, but as I mentioned in the large thread when they signed Hoyer, that's the move that makes absolutely no sense. Is anyone surprised that Hoyer is proving to be EXACTLY what he's shown to be over and over?? The decision should have been give Mallet the keys. Yeah, that may have completely backfired (as it has, though in a different situation), but that's the risk you take. If you're bringing in Hoyer, you'd have been better off keeping Fitz. Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but let Fitz go, sign a Tyrod Taylor type is what makes sense. Yes, it is hindsight, but it is also obvious beforehand. Go for high risk but real high reward path, or stay with Fitz. B'OB and Rick Smith did neither.
He's probably referring to Fitz. I don't think he believes in Mallet anymore. No reasonable fan legitimately believes in Mallet nowadays unless he's doing a bit.
