Maybe he'll end up being a starter this year?

Maybe reuniting with Frank is the key.

Not a bad place for Williams to end up. The Pistons have nothing concrete at the 3. Tayshaun is not the Tayshaun of old and as a result the Pistons have been giving Daye more time at the 3. Daye has some upside but in no way is cemented as the 3 moving forward for the Pistons.

Williams actually has a decent chance of not only making their squad, but being a contributor.

    Wow,

    Knight
    Stuckey
    T Will
    Monroe
    Drummond

That has potential to be a sick starting 5!

He's getting a "training camp invite."

They already have 16 guys under contract. Meaning they will have to waive 2 people from their roster that they used a draft pick on like Kyle Singler in order for T-Will to make the roster.

Should we revist the flaming people gave me on the "TerrenceWilliamsPRdepartment" thread and look at how people thought it was a big deal that Terrence opened his mouth on Twitter about getting benched?

Believe it or not, that first two years on your rookie contract are essentially an extended interview for the entire NBA. It doesn't take much to end up like Terrence. If he wouldn't have had issues with Avery Johnson the first go-around he probably would have been playing alongside D-Will and Joe Johnson this season in Brooklyn with an extended contract instead of getting a training camp invite on a non-guaranteed deal in Detroit.

Maybe he'll [break out &] beat out Chandler Parsons and Chase Budinger!! ... Nope. Rick and Kevin are holding back a star! Unleash the kracken!! ARRRGHH STUPID POO-POO HEADS WON'T PLAY T-WILL!:mad::mad:

Maybe he'll [break out &] beat out the guys in Sacramento!! ... He did have a small increase in playing time there but wasn't brought back.

Maybe he'll [break out &] beat out Paul Pierce, Jeff Green, Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, & Avery Bradley in Boston!! ... Wait, what? He didn't end up in Boston?

Maybe he'll [break out &] beat out Tayshaun Prince, Austin Daye, Corey Maggette, Khris Middleton, Kyle Singler, or Rodney Stuckey!! ... Heh heh heh. :)

Its amazing how so many Rocket fans believe this guy was a star that has always been held back when in fact he is just a low I.Q. ball player with alot of athleticism but no knowledge or discipline for the game.

He's basically garbage and wil be out of the league in 2 or 3 years

there's a trend of Clutchfans here fantasizing about scrub players transforming into starters or all stars.

    This is a low.

You don't see the Heat fans thinking Dexter Pitman will turn into Dwight Howard right?

But you do see people thinking Terrence Jones is a lesser Howard!

    Shut up, tinman!

Detroit is a premier contender in this league. Good for Terrence. It proves DaDakota was right about Morey doesn't know how to manage assets. How can we just let people go who are so coveted by others like Sacramento and Detroit.

Actually it was all his fault. There were similar problems in Dallas (the Josh Howard party/practice incident prior to Game 4 of the Hornets series in 2008, a group of players asking for Westphal to take over in 2007, the totally incoherent rotations (there was a game between the Lakers and the Mavs in early 2008 in which Phil Jackson saw the lineup Avery put on the floor coming out of a timeout in the second half and immediately thought "is he crazy?"), and the sometimes utterly bizarre excuses he made in post-game interviews when the team lost (there was a game between the Nets and the Mavs in early 2006 after which he said something that any rational person could see made no sense whatsoever)).

We might be surprised on this actually...

However, people that live in Miami probably think about Beach/Sun/Bikinis/Booze/Techno Music/Clubs/Fine-Eats/Lebron/Title/ Etc. before they think about the potential of Dexter Pittman.

The Heat have a joke for a fan base. That's not to say the Rockets don't have one either, but compared to the Heat fans, Rocket fans are equal to the St. Louis Cardinal fans.

back in the day, nobody was eagerly awaiting Eric Riley or Zan Tabac's to hit the floor.

    There's a reason for that.

    Anybody remember Michael Jordan's backup?
    ......

    Exactly.

Hey, cool it on Tabak. That guy had one of the greatest crew cuts to ever step foot on the hardwood.

I get what your saying, but Im sure even in Miami there is some dillusional fan on their message board that is bored and arguing with the other hardcore fans about how Dexter is a "lesser" Patrick Ewing but is being held back by Eric Spolstra.

That same fan probably whined and complained for years before the decision about how superstars dont want to play in Miami because their coach is a meany pants... blah blah...
