I saw the whole games, not youtube clips like you.

    Don't ever challenge a 99er.

Clint Capela's job is safe for now.

LOL at the 99er stuff. Sure Capela's job is safe for now. It's August. But he'd better come to camp significantly improved defensively or his job won't be safe for very long. Because Xi has quicker feet and a better nose for the ball off the glass.

I'm done here. Last word is yours and we can check back later.

Ask the other people who saw him play live

We can tip jar bet $50 , Clint Cappella vs Qi, who gets more minutes in December 2017

I'll take capela for December. But I don't think that real important. It's who is getting minutes in April/may that count.

Once we acquire Melo the only significant weakness we have is interior defense/rebounding. Like I said Capela needs to bring it early and late to give us what we need in the middle defensively to make a serious run at a title. If he doesn't, he'll need to be replaced.

Dude shot 30% from the field and 14% from 3 point line and averaged 4.6 fouls a game.
This is against the summer league competition which Troy Williams and Isiah Taylor tore up.
    April? yes.
    April 2019.

I'm not concerned about Qi's offense at all. Only his defense and rebounding.

he shot 21 3 pointers and he was setup to jack up those 3s.
clearly that's what the coaching staff wants.

Were any of people here for Malik Badaine?
every year people kept saying he's coming to the Rockets and be this defensive force
and every year he never showed up

I don't think Qi will be Malik, but you are stretching it that he's going to be a rotational player this year.

Yes, they want a center that will shoot the three efficiently and in volume if needed. (LOL. That's never gonna happen with Capela.) So he took a lot of threes that would have normally been 18 footers where he is comfortable......And has been very efficient at too.

So Qi is going to have to adjust his shot for the deep ball. And he will eventually. So what. We're not getting the three from the five spot now. So that's not what's critical. What's critical from our 5 spot is interior defense and rebounding. The offensive stuff is just extra. If Qi is in the rotation he won't be popping 7 three balls a game. You know that.

What this team needs after Melo comes on board is better interior defense and rebounding than last season, a substantial upgrade there. Capela has to step up significantly or we gotta get somebody else.
