I hate when managers think they are so smart. Why would he bring Giles in the game at that point? He's been a gas can. Casual fans would no better. We're less than 30 games in, but Hinch needs to start managing like he's in the playoffs if he cares about his job or this team. He blew the game last night and the game against the A's by making one stupid decision on a reliever that can't be trusted.

    And Pettis should be fired.

Astros need the 2015 Ken Giles too be a title contender, that's why.

Talent isn't the problem. Confidence or the right adjustments aren't there. Still need the reps too figure that out.

The players haven't performed, simple as that. Giles has looked shaky, sure, but he's also been extremely unlucky. You're anger is misplaced if you're wholly blaming Hinch for our 10-19 start. The players loves Hinch and play their tails off for him. We're just pressing too hard right now, need to loosen up.

That said, I would love to see a lineup change, notably something that puts Altuve 3rd, with Correa in front of him. Something along the lines of:

    Gomez
    Correa
    Altuve
    Springer
    Rasmus
    Gattis
    White
    Valbuena/Marwin
    Castro

I think putting Gomez at the top of the lineup would be a good change of pace for him, too. Perhaps slotting him 6th and 7th is affecting him. Who knows. Players are weird. If he hits leadoff, maybe he'll be more open to just making contact instead of swinging for the fences.

    7 years and 82 posts?

Were the other 81 any better?

AJ pulling another whopper tonight. Leaves Dallas in the game to throw 120 pitches when the guy has nothing. Benches Rasmus so Tyler White and Jake Marisnick could play. I feel like JB Bickerstaff is coaching this club.

There are plenty of reasons to question some of Hinch's moves and decisions, but giving Rasmus a day off after playing 16 innings and going 0-6 is not really questionable, especiallycwhen faxing one of the best lefthanded pitcherscin the league.

We played 16 innings yesterday. Keuchel was going to go 6 unless his arm fell off, especially once the game was no longer close.

This is basic Managerial 101. There are 29 other managers that would have done the same.

stros basically played 2 games wednesday. dallas was going to finish his start even if he had to pitch with his feet. Hinch isn't the guy that assembled the 6-9 holes with .0001 hitters.

Maybe everytime he posts, other posters rail on him so he stops posting.

Stuck up for him before, but pitching to Papi was not smart.
