Yeah, I don't really like the guy. He's on tv grandstanding way too much. Seems like an aggressive a-hole. Wouldn't want him for a neighbor. Wouldn't want him as a counterparty on a contract. Those qualities might make him a good lawyer though for something like this. The funny thing is that the Cohen story has taken off so hard, Avenetti's now playing just a bit part. He looks like the smallest of Cohen's problems.

Rudy probably isn't the best to ask questions about morality. He married his second cousin, then separated and his best man became a priest to help rudy get that marriage annulled. He then married his second wife, cheated on her, then cheated a second time (hiding the expenses for security and chauffeur services to obscure city agency budgets) and married the second woman he cheated with. And she later divorced him. Face it... this guy has is the last guy to question anyone else's morals...
Possible political motives are disturbing. The police lying about the circumstances of the arrest aren't good either. But otherwise, the police expecting criminal behavior from a particular person, setting a sting, witnessing the purported criminal behavior, and then making an arrest all sounds okay to me. Well, except for the part where the crime they expected and witnessed is apparently not a crime. They probably should have included a prosecutor in the conspiracy.
