as a novice myself, i'll go ahead and say that right now is about the hardest damn time to start getting into the market.... a lot of people seem to think that the commodities bubble is bursting and odds are is that you've already missed the boat.
I don't think anyone gets good at trading without losing some money. Consider it your educational expenses.
Well that's assuming he only buys long positions. When I first started trading, I only sold short. I am more comfortable being short, then being long. Right now is a great time in the market for short sellers.
What do you guys think of ATVI? Their merger with Blizzard is complete and the stock is up over 16% over the last few days. I think the long term prospects of this company are very good. Activision is about to split, so I was thinking that it was good time to buy.
Does it not matter that many of those are subsidized? Seriously, I'm not sure how the compensation works out. I still think there is a better chance of AAPL hitting 140-150 than it hitting 180+ in the short term.
Those BAC shares I picked up 2 days ago for 19.18 are looking good now (even though I thought it would hit 17). Wish I could have picked up more to hold. I threw some "lottery money" at BBI too as a flip at around 2.02. I'm hoping to see 3-3.5 in the next month then I'm out.
