So far trump has gotten away with: not providing tax returns; seek, accepting, and benefiting from russian interference in the 2016 election; violations of the emoluments clause, a quid pro quo from ukraine for help on the 2020 election, and constant lying to the American people... and you wonder if he will get away with this?
He's a piece of **** and gathering in groups for photo ops is stupid anyway. When one of the henchmen in that picture is COVID19 positive in a few weeks, we will look back and chortle, as we stand shoulder to shoulder in a packed church on Easter Sunday
Actually, I would have expected that Schuler and Pelosi would have shown, based on their leadership to get their Democratic members to approve this bill. But they weren't invited.
Trump is "unAmerican" and "pernicious," and his party supplicates to him, so of course the photo op went forward just like this.
Technically the unemployed in the US will get more than that. $2400 per month for 4 months on top of the state benefits.
Dems... I need to know how y'all fall about this decrepit scumbag's plan for the rich? https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/30/business/economy/coronavirus-economic-stimulus-taxes.html
He learned that trick in dog training school. Hand feed so they know who the alpha male is. The article isn't clear. It sounds like state agencies might be collecting those funds to render to the child support recipients.
Let me summarize and paraphrase Pelosi for you, She's pissed her rich donors were priced out by Trump (no support for 150k+) and wants to put money in their (250K+ to over 1M+ earners) pockets. I have my opinions, I want to hear others. It will tell me a lot.
Well, I could go with your impartial analysis and summary... or I could wait to see the actual proposal...
Removing the 10k state income tax cap starts benefitting people if they make $140k as a single filer and $180k if they are filing jointly. As crazy as it is to think about, it is tough to support a family with $180k in California. If you increased the cap to 15k, that would materially help these families. As long as there is precision here, I don't have a huge issue with it.
i make slightly above that range and take it from me... i don't need any relief right now. my relatives however, those folks well under 100k household need all the help they can get. it's why i was happy with Trump's limit of 150k despite the fact it meant i wont get any funds. i take it you were happy with Trump's cap as well? call it for what it is, this is a bad idea pushed by pelosi's wealthy donors that doesn't help the people who need it. service industry workers, like bartenders, waitstaff, cooks, etc... don't make over 140-180k and you know it. also folks who do typically have rainy day savings, the under folks don't. so tell me, who needs additional money, pelosi's rich donors or regular folks?
