@Deuce -- Kellerman is further proof of the value of the statement games late in the season that brought MVP home for Westbrook. Cool that the Win didn't matter.

 

I just wish the Rockets had won the damn game. 57 feels so empty in a loss. Same with Giannis' 52 earlier this week.

I've always argued that this is the reason Harden is looked down on. It's all about perception and statement games. We as Rockets fans know that his playoff runs have been decent and not as terrible as everybody appears to perceive. Unfortunately for Harden, everybody remembers game 6 of the Clippers come back and him sitting on the bench. They also remember the block that Manu had on him and the chase down block from Kawhi. They remember the 13 turnovers (was it this many, I don't remember) against the Warriors in game 5.

It sucks. That's why games like yesterday matter so much to have a positive perception of you as a player. Bunch of BS to me, but media are the ones that drive the awards and popularity.

 

Wins matter, stats matter.

I am not going to watch. So you said the point total was enough to carry, and the win didn't matter? If so, great! Cause I was disappointed that a "MVP moment" game could be wasted. If the points are enough....that is awesome.
