Our team is pretty scary right now (knock on wood :) ). This team is starting to look like the old Kings coached by Adelman. Adelman's Kings' were known for being a very deep team and once had a very strong second unit. Our team's very similar with strong contributions from Bonzi, Brooks, Scola and Head. This team is really starting to gel at the very right time.

When the team starts putting up 100+ points on a consistent basis then we can be anything close to the old kings....

    Right!
It is more close to the old kings. However, there is much work to do to form the fluent offensive.

Hope so. But dont speak too soon, all the lapses on this team are more than enough to kick them back to wilderness at any given moment. :(

Yeah, I rather see them as a mix of last year's Rockets defense and some of the Old Kings offense. Those Kings teams never had 2 guys like T-Mac and Yao.

"Starting to look like the old Kings" ? We've been playing bad teams lately, sorry, but I'm holding my assessment until some more meaningful games are played.

Very true, I feel that way also. But hey, at least we are winning the games we are suppose to win. Thats one step closer to becoming an even better team. Also, once we get McLovin back, we're gonna blast off for sure.

Yes but we're playing crappier teams now and are barely clinging at 0.500%

I would reserve judgement until we win a few more than just 2 wins in a row and steal some victories from some tougher teams.

But I agree it's a good sign that at least we're beating the teams we should beat, that will a huge difference if we want to improve our record.

On a side note: "Free Luis!!"

we're only at .500 right now, don't get ahead of yourself, i want to see a few games above .500, then i'm content that this team is heading towards the right direction

the team has been consistent lately on offense, more ball movement and easier opportunities.

It's an anti-ball-hog offense. Thus, it doesn't work for players who hold on to the ball to long.

Chicago is another team with plenty of good ball movement. They're one of the worst offensive teams in the league.

Ball movement isn't enough to win. You also need talent. People are delusional if they think we're a better offensive team without a healthy Tracy McGrady.

The old kings team at their best looked like this:

We're not there. Notice how quickly they get into their offensive sets. Notice how both Divac and Webber pass effectively out of the high post. Chuck almost had a nice pass to a cutting Luther along the baseline yesterday, but blew it. We're sloppy compared to them and not nearly as aggressive.

Why some many people said we won because we are playing bad teams? We won Raptors and Magics, and almost Nuggets and Celtics. They are not bad teams by all means.
We lost to Pistons, and Warriors (bad matchup) during this span, but nothing to shame about expecially when TMac is out. I may overemphsize TMac's effect thought.

This is a better team with Tracy McGrady if he comes back and commits to playing within the system.

If he comes back and you have four guys trying to play one way and T-Mac off by himself trying to do his own thing this team is hosed.

Yes but you are witnessing the transformation. AB abd Scola are a poor man.s Webber and Bibby. Battier=Turkolu and Yao and Tmac blow away Divac and Christie. We don't have Bobby Jackson or Peja but we have Bonzi and Head. Upgrade with a more athletic bigger 3 point specialist and we will easily be tter than those SAC teams in time. The key to all of this is will Tmac buy into Adelmans offense now that he can see it works. If he does than It's time may be the real deal!

The Raptors are a mediocre eastern conference team. The Magic have been under .500 at home this year. Neither win was particularly impressive.

As for Boston, I'm not that impressed when a team gets blown out in the first half and is able to get back into the game because the other team lets up with their stars resting. They were still completely ineffective in the fourth quarter when Garnett and Pierce reentered the game. That's all that really matters.

Consider this: under JvG the Rockets had a terrible record without T-Mac. Under Adelman the Rockets have actually put together a pretty decent little record of 4-2 during this latest absence. Yao is getting his points in the flow of the offense, maybe for the first time in his career, and Adelman's Rockets are actually a) getting Yao the ball deep in the post despite double teams and b) making teams pay for that double, either with perimeter shooting or cutters.

You forgot we lost to Raptors and Magic badly earlier this year, but we turn around here. Not many teams can lose to Boston by single digit in their homecourt regardless they play Garnett and Pierce or not. Don't be too hard to your own team.
