They aren't gonna give that away in the trailer. She's gonna die, it's inevitable, but it certainly wasn't at the end of last season. FWIW, knowing that she has a death sentance made that battle with Vader last season one of the most intense battles I've ever seen. I had no clue whether she was gonna make it.
Probably the best moment of the series so far. I like that they seem to be raising the stakes every season so far; show's come a long way and is a must see for any fan.
Season 3 hit the ground running. Episode 1 was great. I am amazed how far this show has come. Just keeps getting better.
Just watched first episode last night. It was really great. I loved how it explained the history of the Y-wings, which were used in the Death Star assault in IV. There were also some great foreshadowing moments regarding Ezra flirting with the dark side. Can't wait to see how it all turns out. "They fight so hard to obtain so little." Pretty profound quote, when you think about it. I'm not the kind of guy that watches cartoons, but man......this show is so well done that I don't even notice it's a cartoon.
clone wars show does (not gonna say how for spoiler reasons). My understanding was they wanted this show to tie in as well. I prefer clone wars to this. better animation and i loved how it jumped to different characters/stories every 3 episodes or so.
All the new stuff ties together. You may or may not see the ties directly in the movies, but they come together in different ways. In the new "canon" materials, there are pre-new trilogy books that were released that directly reference things from the cartoon. These then directly tie into the movie. So it is kind of like a two degree of separation thing...but they tie. It would be kind of fascinating if they throw in a little blurb in one of the new movies that directly references the cartoons though.
True, this show gets better each season. Really hope we'll see more of Ezra flirting with the dark side, it was great to see him struggle with emotions and feelings of wanting more power to help his friends. Hope this episode wasn't all regarding that aspect, I'd like to see at least a full season of Ezra being on a path similar to Anakin.
Anybody still watching? This season has been pretty disappointing, but the last 2 episodes have been great. Lots of Thrawn and even a Luke Skywalker sighting.
