I like them both. Watched both growing up, but Star Trek has the series going for them, while Star Wars only had the movies back when I was growing up.

Kylo vs Spock would be interesting. Very short, but interesting.

I like Star Trek, I've watched all of the movies and series in the 90's and enjoyed them, I like the new movies also. I honestly could never get into the William Shatner originals. I might have felt different if I got to watch them when they were new, but 30 years later they felt dated compared to TNG and DS9.

But I love Star Wars, so it's really a no contest.

Two franchises that look identical but couldn't be more different. The Force makes Star Wars completely different, spiritual franchise. In my opinion you can't compare because of that huge difference. They're not the same even if they look it.

I've been a Trekkie for 40+ years and watched every episode of every series. Not even close.

I do appreciate Star Wars though. More than ever. It amuses me to see how much the series means to so many people. The last 12 months leading up to The Force Awakens have been very entertaining.

Star Trek TNG by a long shot. Spock is also the most interesting character in the SciFi univererse.

Hard to compare. IMHO Star Trek is hard Sci-Fi, while Star Wars is Fantasy with a Sci-Fi backlay. I have enjoyed each.

If you just went off of the movies alone, I like Star Wars better. Let's face it, there's only one good Star Trek movie - the rest have been crap.

I like the Star Trek universe better though - mainly because of the TV shows.

Star Trek over it's history deals with more philosophical questions using science fiction as a storytelling tool. Star Wars is basically the standard rebellion of youth story and action film.

I like both, voted Trek for it's diversity of story lines.

Love both, voted Star Wars because of the iconic characters
(I also loved Nimoy and Takei)

Out of the all Star Trek shows and movies and Star Wars movies, I've only seen the two newest Star Trek flicks.

So I'm going to go ahead and say Star Trek?

The current Star Trek movie franchise cast should be doing 12 episode seasons on Netflix or something. Disney planning all these Star Wars spinoffs will change the game. Not sure if for better or worse.

Those of you (probably due to age) who are basing their opinion of Star Trek on the movies are really missing the boat. The TV series are what's Star Trek is all about. Most of the movies are fluff trash.

Star Trek, not even close. Star Wars always seemed more childish to me

The spinoffs have a chance of being new, different and interesting ... while #8 and #9 will as unimaginative, unoriginal and uninteresting as possible.

    Movies?

    Hard Choice.
Wraith of Khan (the original) was better than like 6 out of 7 Star Wars
Empire Strikes back being the lone exception
they are like 1 and 1a

    The rest of them . . . . hhhhmmmmmm.......

    Difficult this is . . .
