Anyone know of some good FREE spyware/adware downloads....I must have downloaded and got hit with a bug or something because I'm getting popups like a SOB.
Spybot Search & Destroy: TeaTimer & SDHelper is probably the best free program out there. Mix it with Adaware and/or Windows Defender or AVG (Free virus protectors, the first from Microsoft), and you are good. Most you can find at: www.downloads.com or Google.com If that doesnt work, I would suggest finding a forum that asks users to use "hijackthis" and post it's results on their forum. They will take a while to respond, but they will find all of your problems and tell you how to get rid of them. I recently had to reinstall my computer because I couldn't find a program that could get rid of Virtumondo trojan, and was too lazy to go through the work of posting on a forum.
